Certified B Corp® Since 2015

Using Our Business as a Force for Good

Using business as a force for good

Light Trail has been a Certified B Corporation since 2015, reflecting a long-standing commitment to balancing purpose with performance.

Certified B Corporations meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. The certification is administered by the nonprofit B Lab, which evaluates how organizations operate across areas such as governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.

Today thousands of companies across more than 90 countries are part of the B Corp community, including organizations such as Patagonia, Danone, Athleta, and Allbirds.

Together they are working toward a shared goal: redefining success in business.

Perspective from the B Corp community…

In our pursuit of better travel, becoming the first North American luggage brand to achieve B Corp Certification is a huge milestone for Monos. We engaged Light Trail early into our B Corp Certification journey and with Greg’s ongoing support from beginning to end, he was not only able to demystify the B Corp Certification process as first time certifiers but also suggest tangible, appropriate sustainability-led improvements that we have implemented across the business. These improvements not only helped us to obtain certification but have further strengthened our commitment to sustainable practices. We are honoured to be part of the B Corp community and are so appreciative to Greg for his guidance and support to help get us there.

Why It Matters to Us

Light Trail became a B Corp because the framework reflects how we believe organizations should operate.

Strong institutions recognize that long-term success depends on more than financial performance alone. It requires thoughtful governance, responsible decision-making, and a commitment to creating value for the people and communities connected to the organization.

For us, certification is not a marketing label.
It reflects how we think about leadership.

These same principles inform how we support the leaders and organizations we work with.

Our B Corp Impact Score

To certify as a B Corp, organizations must achieve a minimum score of 80 points across five areas of performance.

Light Trail first certified in 2015 with a score of 86.3. Through continuous improvement and recertification, our score has increased to: 122.1

This reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible governance, community impact, and long-term accountability.

How B Corp Connects to Our Work

Being part of the B Corp community has reinforced an important lesson: purpose alone does not create impact. What matters is how leaders make decisions when priorities compete and the stakes are real.

The B Corp framework encourages organizations to think more broadly about governance, accountability, and long-term responsibility. Those same questions often sit at the centre of the work we do with leadership teams.

When organizations are navigating complex choices — balancing growth, responsibility, and long-term impact — leaders benefit from the space to step back, examine the real trade-offs, and move forward with clarity.

This is where Light Trail most often works.
